The Winter fishing tackle - the hands.

Pike fishing by a winter fishing-tackle a widespread kind of fishing in Ukraine and the Central part of Russia. Winter fishing tackles it is possible to catch with success pikes, pike perches, perches and burbots. Catching by fishing tackles of pikes involves a considerable quantity of supporters with capture possibility on the present of large copies.
In this article we will consider my design of a winter fishing tackle where the most successful knots have been borrowed at other fishermen, some have been developed by me.

My requirements to a winter fishing tackle:

• Should be convenient;


• Should be compact in the collected kind, to be located in a fishing box (in mine not the big box 14 pieces are located, plus still tackles and a thermos);


• Should work only at a biting and not work from a wind and jerks of the live-bait;

the Description of a design of a winter fishing tackle.

On fig. 1 the design of my fishing tackle in collected (' charged ') a condition is shown. on fig. 2 the equipment of a winter fishing tackle is shown. I reel up on the reel of 15-20 metres of the basic fishing-line 0.3. Through a carbine I fasten the metal lead connecting the basic fishing-line and a tee (the double, an unary hook - depending on size of the live-bait and prospective extraction). I put tees 6 number of our marks.

On the basic fishing-line approximately on 15 sm from a swivel I put a clamp of sliding cargo. For these purposes the simple bead quite will approach. The small sliding lead-olive serves for deduction of the live-bait in benthonic layers where the large predator lives in the majority. It is not necessary to take a great interest in excessive size of a lead since. The live-bait gets tired it to drag and more likely falls asleep. Also the way of equipment of a fishing tackle in general without cargo is known. It is applied at a fishing on very small depths (to 30 sm under ice) in the end of winter.

Manufacturing of a winter fishing tackle.

We Pass to detailed consideration of knots of a winter fishing tackle and a way of their manufacturing.

On fig. 3 preparation of a rack of a fishing tackle. It is made of textolite, a plexiglas by thickness not less than 2 mm. Length of a rack of 180 mm, width of 18-20 mm. In the top part of a rack cut is made for fastening of an alarm spring (10 X 20 mm). The aperture under the reel and an ellipse aperture for fastening of an upper edge of an alarm spring to a back wall of the reel is drilled.

On fig. 4 the alarm spring made of a spring from an alarm clock, an old children's clockwork toy is shown. The length of a spring nearby 25 see On the one hand springs we would make a bend for what did not jump out from connection with a rack and for the same purposes we put on a cambric or a termofitt tube. The holder springs (fastening) to the reel I make from steel a wire of 0 mm and I paste it to a spring epoxy pitch, the pasting place can be strengthened having wound with threads. The tag becomes from a simple bright matter. It is pasted by any waterproof glue. I use glue ' the Moment '.

That necessary effort which could dump a tag at a biting depends on rigidity of a spring and the fastening mechanism to the reel, and keep a fishing tackle in the charged condition at quick movings of the live-bait.

On fig. 5 the reel with the holder of a spring is represented. Reels can be used the most different, many use the self-made. It is possible to use reels from old fishing-lines. They on the one hand have hollow space where it is very convenient to put the holder of a spring, it turns out as though in the reel. Reel fastening to a rack I will not consider since reels can be different. The reel outer side can be painted for the best visibility. Movement of the reel with such colouring is visible from apart, that allows to put on speed (or to be slowed down) at approach to the worked flag. The reel should rotate freely at moving of a predator with the live-bait, but at the same time there should not be a beard at sharp jerks of a pike.

On fig. 6 manufacturing of the holder of a spring is shown. It becomes from a copper wire in diameter of 1-1 mm. For this purpose in a reel two apertures of smaller diameter, than diameter of a wire (for elastic connection) are drilled, then the wire is formed by the letter «П» with one extended side. The short side pushed in the prepared aperture in a reel, is bent completely, and long is formed under the holder with necessary admissions.

On fig. 7 is shown my method of fastening of a rack to the basis. I use two pieces of an aluminium corner, thickness of 1 mm and the size 10 on 10 mm. Then screws I fix them so that between perpendicular to a rack planes of corners the basis plate (not freely and not strongly, with great reserve) entered.

On fig. 8 spring fastening to a rack is shown. On rack cut the cambric stretches. Under a cambric the alarm spring is pushed. For dense fastening from above on a cambric I put on a bracket from thin metal, I bend definitely and I draw in a bracket so that the alarm spring went in this place with small effort.

On fig. 9 the basis serving by a support for fishing tackles is represented, and also at a strong frost hole freezing interferes fast. It is made of textolite or a plexiglas by thickness of 1-1 mm and length of lateral faces 180 mm.

Cut for rack fastening I do by a hacksaw and I process a file and a file till the normal sizes. The basis is convenient also that at a strong frost it is possible to pile snow on the basis and not to be afraid for hole freezing.

On fig. 10 the rack in gathering is shown. This design meets all requirements shown to a good winter fishing tackle. The removed alarm spring and original fastening of a rack and the basis does a fishing tackle compact at transportation and reliable in work. I recommend to try.
