About spinner baits and not only.

In this article it will be a question of spinner baits, bazz baits and proll baits about which it is written already much enough. As experts, and it is simple fishers testing these baits. I, use them not so often, but I wish to share, which what experience of a fishing of a pike saved up for years on these baits.

Spinner baits

This artificial bait of not less than hundred years Is known. But rather recently has taken the modern form. Petals in general - that can be and more than one, two or four, and both one type, and a combination from different types of petals. But it is necessary to notice, the more petals, the the spinner bait is worse flies at throws. And at the same time, the it is more than them, the with smaller speed conducting, without working capacity loss, so slow conducting hotly favourite by a pike is possible.

Two types of petals on spinner baits - "kolorado" and «willow leaf» Are known. To tell, of what of petals is undertaken better by me not: sometimes the pike suffices any spinner bait, sometimes only a certain combination, and occasionally does not react in any way to a spinner bait and a beret on wobblers, thus. It is necessary to notice, however, that petals "kolorado" create greater resistance in water at conducting.

Basically all kinds of spinner baits are equipped by a skirt from silicone strips. A principal cause as it is considered, provoking the pike on spinner bait attack, skirt trembling, its vibration is. Which in turn depends and on quality of a material (the soft fringe is compressed, rigid puffs up).

Now on an example, from own experience, I wish to tell about ability of spinner baits to invite a pike from the big distances. Several years ago with one of the friends fished in the spring on one wood lake with depths from metre to two and with the flooded stubs in the narrow end and on the centre. In the spring and in the late autumn the pike here also kept among a snag, only at long norths moving to leeward coast. For three hours we have caught on one jack, kg on ones and a half, moreover my partner had a descent. Thus I have tried all standard set of baits.

My partner more advanced, has tried even more - from Lusox and Vibrax to poppers. And here I have decided to look for fish along a wall of a cane near coast. The friend, having taken advantage of that the breeze pulled along lake, decides to drift through all reservoir. At me anything, and it pulls out a pike. After its third pike I have not sustained and I swim up to it. Depth in that place of 1,2-1,6 m. the Glade grown with a pondweed, but not reached yet to a surface. A companion on a spinner bait catches. Though a pondweed and not so dense, but a wobbler all the same to spend not probably. On a spoon-bait, hardly a fishing two pikes - the partner for same time four.

It and me Has given a spinner bait. While we potter with baits, boats has taken down on pure water. A steel on an anchor, but to a grass we will not throw metres five. Any biting. We swim away against a wind and again we drift to a pondweed. And again bitings, only when we start to throw to glades in a grass.

Except so-called, classical spinner baits where a corner and a head with a hook, this single whole, is also such at which to a corner with one petal it is possible to fasten any a jig-head. Such is and at trading house Cabela's, and at firms Norstland and Storm. But and as on them our pikes will react - I do not know. But for pike perch Dat Streng very much recommends.

At pike catching on spinner baits in a grass and aground, it is very important, that the bait petal "was started" after failures instantly - and it is really important.

Bazz baits

Difference of bazz baits from spinner baits that they have the P-shaped wire skeleton on which bottom shoulder a head with a fringe, and on top - rotating, put on through two points, a triangular petal with the corners unbent in opposite sides. A so-called turbine. Buzz - from English hum. And it is valid, this petal-turbine so goes on a water surface that monotonous hum-murmur is audible.

But at me to catch pikes on them it was impossible. Tried, as it is recommended, to spend both on a surface, and to half-waters. Tests by that has distributed to their acquaintances have ended. But also at them, probably, special results were not, as positive responses are not present.

But is also such bait with buzz, as Arbogast Sputterbuzz. Here on it it turns out to catch simply very well. If to expose protective moustaches strictly over stings of tees it is possible to drag in the most overgrown places. If on the blade even the most superficial wobbler the grass gets, it ceases to work, becoming for a pike unattractive. On same "buzzy" the grass hangs very seldom, and on short pauses the pike is tempted with the rubber skirt hanging on one ring with a tee. Pikes on this bait are caught even in the late autumn.

Spinner baits and bazz baits do not concern spinners, these are independent classes of baits.

Prol lbaits - superficial baits with a propeller.

Propellers can be from one to three. I caught while only on HEDDON Baby Torpedo and YO-ZURI Arms Swisher. Heddon very noisy, and noise not only from a propeller, but also from hooks which metal cups are put on. A sound, the second, it is possible to characterise as a quiet rustle. The pike on both these baits a beret well - and at uniform conducting, and at a transport a fishing-rod. Believe, that proll baits are similar to the floating mouse.

The pike suffices these baits and in several hundreds metres from coast on extensive shoal. And two years ago, in the middle of May, on a rift with already decently risen water-lilies after a perch and two jacks "torpedo" two catfishes (one little bit less than metre in length, another is little bit more) have seized. Well and, of course, if between coast and a strip of coastal vegetation is a strip of pure water (usually in the width from two to four metres with depths about seaweed of centimetres forty-sixty) proll baits appear very opportunely! And jacks on them come across quite decent.
