After the jig Second World War began a thicket to meet in boxes for stock of many American fishers. In spite of the fact that the jig is one of the most ancient baits in the world, in the past it was applied mainly to sea fishing. Expansion of use of a jig has coincided with development of easy fishing stock. And besides pikes fishing and a perch has cleared the way to wide use of this bait. From now on jigs are applied to fishing of other kinds of fishes and are considered now as one of the best baits for a pike, a pike perch, a trout and even a salmon, and also the American perch.
The Jig represents a compact and heavy bait. It causes only insignificant resistance of air and allows to make an exact throw. The jig quickly sinks and does not do any programmed movements. Beginners can use it even. Jig conducting consists of pulsing movements of a fishing-rod.
The jig Hook is directed by a sting upwards, that allows to avoid ground hooks. Cutting of fish happens in the reliable image, is frequent for an upper lip. Jigs also are not expensive, probably, these are cheapest of all baits. Half-dozen jigs, for example, stand as one fluctuating spoon-bait or a wobbler.
The Main component of a jig is the hook with the long forestock bent under the necessary corner before a head. The forward part of a bait becomes from lead and has such form at which the hook ringlet leaves the top or average part of a sinker. The arrangement of a ringlet of a hook defines jig balancing in water. On jigs for a throw the hook ringlet on a sinker is displaced a little forward. On jigs for a subglacial fishing it is placed in the top part of a sinker for vertical fastening.
Jigs differ under the form of their head part which can remind a ball, a banana or a keel. They happen to a metal nouse as wobblers, or can be equipped by a metal plate which fastens or is direct on a hook, or to an internal part of a lead head.
The jig Case is made of various materials. The hair covering of jigs becomes from a wool of a deer, feather - from long, soft and impressive feathers of a marabou. Soft silicone small fishes and plastic hearts have expanded a variety of these baits which can be thrown now in the various ways. The jig body can be made of various kinds of nylon and synthetic fibres, a millara or spangles (or to decorate them with them). Cases of jigs for sea fishing usually become from a wool of a deer and are called as deer tails (back-tail).
Jigs are issued the various size and weight - from less than one gramme to several hundreds grammes. The smallest baits are called as micro-jigs.
Probably, will tell more correctly not «to underreeling a jig», and «to work as it». Bait activization that it looked live and seductive as the appetizing small scared small fish, trying to hide here is meant. At reeling a fishing-rod it is necessary to reject that to the right to the left, however such movements, possibly, can weaken contact to a jig which is rather important at the moment of a biting and cutting. In quiet water the best indicator of a biting frequently is only fishing-line twitching!
This contact is important for keeping even at jig immersing as the biting can take place still before the bait will reach a bottom. As the bait does not twist a fishing-line, is better to fasten it directly to a ringlet of a hook of a jig as the carabine and a swivel can frighten off fish.
Fish often breaks off soft and flexible silicone baits of some jigs in shreds. For this reason it is useful to have at itself a stock of such baits. Colouring of these plastic nozzles can turn pale, and even they can be melted off at contact to other plastic subjects. Therefore each colour bait is necessary for storing in a separate cellophane bag. It is necessary to notice, that some boxes for baits have a designation "worm-pruf" («for storage of hearts»). They perfectly well approach for storage of plastic jig baits.
Bodies of some jigs are flavoured by various smells for biting stimulation. After an injection of seductive substance the jig good catch can increase a little. The smell is entered in a nozzle body, besides, it is possible to grease or rub a bait with "scent".
The Streamer with meat of fish can be attached to a jig that will give to a bait a natural smell and a consistence. Some fishers-sportsmen use for this purpose a small small fish, a stick on a hook through the top and bottom lips. The pike perch is especially not indifferent to such jig.
